Stay away from it, it's just a waste of time. The thing is, it was a video tape of old home movies that were not copyrighted, so this item found yet another way to defeat me.
Finally found a combination of VCR, cable, computer that worked and it recorded for about 10 seconds, then it quit and displayed a message Copyrighted material. I tried both cable configurations, S-video never worked at all, and composite gave me double image.
